THE CONTEST

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN (APPLY BELOW)!

The 2026 Images of the King™ Preliminary in Lake George will consist of a three rounds.

Round 1 and Round 2 will be on Friday and Saturday and will consist of two songs performed to tracks in each round.  Following Round 1 and Round 2 there will be cuts.

The Final Round will take place on Sunday. Our top three professional, non-professional contestants and top two Big-Little King contestants will each perform three songs (band or tracks TBD), as they compete for their share of just under $5,000 in prize money and the title of “World Champion.”

2026 PRIZE MONEY

• $1,500 Professional Division Champion! 
• $1,000 Professional Division Runner Up
• $500 Professional Division 2nd Runner Up

• $800 Non-Professional Division Winner! 
• $400 Non-Professional Division Runner Up
• $200 Non-Professional Division 2nd Runner Up

• $200 Big-Little King Winner
• $100 Big-Little King Runner Up

In addition to the prize money, the Champion will be invited back to appear at next year’s festival.

The registration fee for this year’s contest is $100.
